Note: Ensure you follow these instructions carefully to safeguard your digital assets effectively.
Inside your Trezor box, you will find:
Once unboxed, inspect the device and ensure that all components are present and undamaged. Your Trezor device is ready for activation!
Use the provided USB cable to connect your Trezor to your computer or mobile device. Make sure the cable is securely plugged in at both ends. Upon connection, the device should power on automatically.
Open your browser and navigate to Trezor.io/Start®. This is the official setup page for initializing your Trezor device.
If you are using a desktop computer, you may be prompted to install the Trezor Bridge, which allows your device to communicate with the browser. Simply follow the on-screen instructions to install and enable the Bridge.
For added security, you'll be asked to create a PIN to unlock your Trezor device. This PIN will be required each time you connect your Trezor to a device. Make sure your PIN is unique and memorable.
Tip: Choose a PIN that is not easily guessable. Avoid using common patterns like 1234 or your birth year.
Your Trezor device will generate a recovery seed, which is a series of 12-24 words that can be used to recover your wallet if your device is lost or damaged.
Write down the recovery seed on the provided cards and store it in a secure location, such as a safe or a secure vault. Do not share your recovery seed with anyone, as it is the key to accessing your funds.
